From FLEC's New Principal, Chris Juhl
Home. The word causes a variety of memories for each of us. My father worked for the church for 40 years. I was born in South Carolina, but my family and I had lived in six states, nine cities, and 12 houses by the time I was 14. When I was asked, “Where’s your home?” I would often answer Forest City. My grandparents built a house here off of 436 in 1958. This community is where I spent many summer and Christmas vacations. I lived here and attended FLEEC for 5th & 6th grade. This was and now is home. Short of our heavenly home, I can’t think of a place I would rather be.

I’ve been fortunate to have been in education since 1987. I have a BA in English Education with an MA in English and have taught everything from kindergarten to college—5 year olds to 65 year olds. I’ve taught in a wide variety of schools and have loved each and every one. My wife, Regan, and I are excited to begin this chapter of our life. We have five children between us. My son Nathan lives southwest of Orlando. My step-son Jacob lives in Louisville, Kentucky, and attends the University of Louisville. My daughter Natalie attends Purdue University. Finally, my twin step-daughters go to school in Tennessee—Jessica at Southern and Jillian at Volunteer State. We look forward to getting to know the families in this community as we have the opportunity to serve here at FLEC.
