From the Principal
As a principal, this always seems like an easy message. What am I thankful for? Often times I have asked students to give me a list and the list always varies. Family. Food. Friends. God. What are we really thankful for? Holiday Roast? Our country? My simple Thanksgiving prayer is this: That each student at Forest Lake Education Center is thankful for his or her relationship with Jesus Christ.
I have discovered over the years that being thankful for this one thing has impacted my view and philosophy in a positive manner in all aspects of my life. I am thankful for each one of you and for the opportunity we have here at FLEC to impact your children for eternity.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Come Visit our Book Fair!
Scholastic Book Fair is coming to our school on November 16-November 20. I hope that you will be able to make some time to attend the Book Fair. It is such a good opportunity to find books that will encourage your child to read for pleasure. A home filled with books is one of the best ways to support your child's growing ability to read, and to succeed at school.
Our Book Fair is also online! Please visit us at http://bookfairs.scholastic.com/homepage/forestlakeeducationcenter
P.S. Our Book Fair accepts credit cards! Discover, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and secured debit cards (with MasterCard or Visa logo on them) are all welcome.

Magazine Drive Is Finished, But You Can Still Shop Now!
Our school's yearly Magazine Drive, coordinated by the FLEC Home & School Association, has ended, but you can still order and help FLEC!. Last year we raised funds for the completion of the new lockers for 6th grade. This program returns 40% of every dollar back to our school, and will be used to meet important school goals that will benefit our students.
Click the image below to shop now, and thank you for your support! If you would rather make a monetary donation instead, please send a check directly to the school business office.
